Submissions for Safe Routes to School Program Funding Being Accepted Through June 27th

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Does your community need to address a critical need to enable students to walk or bike to and from school safely? The Safe Routes to School Program may be able to provide funding to help and applications for the 2016 Program are now being accepted through June 27, 2016. Similar to the 2014 Program, applications must be submitted via Sage. County and municipal governments, school districts, and schools are eligible to apply.

To avoid common mistakes, review “How to Maximize Your Chances of Success” on our Safe Routes page. In addition, review NJDOT’s FAQs, the Safe Routes to School Resource Center website, and don’t forget to attend one of the training workshops to learn about success stories and helpful tips for applicants. Finally, Cross County Connection has a designated coordinator to assist applicants seeking Safe Routes funds.
