Now Available for Public Review and Comment: Draft FFY 2022-2031 TIP, Transportation Conformity, and STIP
The SJTPO Draft Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2022-2031 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is available for public review and comment. The TIP includes State and local highway projects as well as regional, statewide, and transit programs. Over $1.3 Billion of FFY 2022-2031 Federal and State funding is identified for transportation improvements within the four counties, in addition to participation in the statewide programs. In addition to the release of the TIP, SJTPO has released the Transportation Conformity document, ensuring that mobile source emissions generated from future Federally funded projects and programs conform to specific emission levels as established in the State Implementation Plan (SIP), the air quality plan for the State.
The comment period of the TIP and Transportation Conformity document will be open now through Sunday, August 15, 2021. During this period, the State has made the Statewide TIP (STIP) available for public review and comment as well. The STIP encompass all three TIPs from the New Jersey Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs).
Two virtual public meetings will be held. The first will take place on Thursday, July 15 (6:00 PM). The second and final meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 20 (2:00 PM). Registration is required and may be completed by visiting the TIP webpage. The webpage also lists additional ways to submit comments if participation in the virtual public meetings is not possible.
