New Jersey State Rail Plan Expert Workshop Meeting (June 2nd at 2:30 p.m.)
New Jersey Transit supported by the New Jersey Department of Transportation is developing an update to the New Jersey State Rail Plan. The current plan was published in 2015. A state rail plan provides the means for:
- Setting forth State policy involving freight and passenger rail transportation, including commuter rail operations, in the State
- Presenting priorities and strategies to enhance rail service in the State that benefits the public
- Serving as the basis for federal and state rail investments within the State New Jersey Transit and the State’s three Metropolitan Planning
Organizations will be hosting virtual workshops to give New Jersey’s freight rail stakeholders the opportunity to provide input into the plan. You have been identified as an important freight stakeholder and are invited to participate in this meeting.
The workshop will take place on Thursday, June 2nd from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
