At the October 30, 2017 Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting, NJDOT and SJTPO staff presented on “smart” traffic signals. Kelly McVeigh, Principal Engineer at NJDOT, provided CAC members and the Public with information regarding the varying traffic signal technologies used throughout the State. The presentation included the difference between “traditional” and “smart” traffic signals, with a stronger focus on the where, why, and how of “smart” traffic signals.
