State of Good Repair Grants Program (Section 5337)

This New Jersey Transit Corporation funding category is dedicated to repairing and upgrading the nation’s rail transit systems, along with high-intensity motor bus systems that use high-occupancy vehicle lanes, including Bus Rapid Transit. This program replaces the Fixed Guideway Modernization Program (Section 5309). Projects under Section 5337 are limited to replacement and rehabilitation, or capital projects required to maintain public transportation systems in a State of Good Repair. Projects must be included in a Transit Asset Management Plan to receive funding.
