RESOLUTION 0807-22

RECOGNIZING THE SERVICES OF  

PERRY D. BARSE  

            WHEREAS, the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) is the designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the southern region of New Jersey including Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland , and Salem Counties ; and  

            WHEREAS, Mr. Barse ably represented the South Jersey Transportation Authority and served on SJTPO Policy Board for eight years; and  

            WHEREAS, Mr. Barse’s balanced and progressive views aided SJTPO in its major accomplishments, such as South Jersey's regional transportation plans, the national award-winning South Jersey Traffic Safety Alliance, and Local Road Safety Audit Program, and many key capital projects for Southern New Jersey; and  

            WHEREAS, the SJTPO wishes to recognize Mr. Barse’s regional vision, thoughtful guidance, and ability to forge consensus on complex issues;  

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Policy Board of the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization acknowledges the many contributions of PERRY D. BARSE and extends its gratitude for his efforts on behalf of the Southern New Jersey region.
