RESOLUTION
0807-21: Requesting
that the South Jersey Transportation Authority Accept Funds for
WHEREAS,
the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) is the
Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) designated under Federal law for the
southern region of New Jersey including Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and
Salem Counties; and
WHEREAS,
the Fiscal Year 2008 SJTPO Unified Planning Work Program included a $145,000
project to significantly upgrade the South Jersey Travel Demand Model (SJTDM);
and
WHEREAS,
the selected consultant, PB Americas, Inc. of
WHEREAS,
FY 2008 PL funding cannot be expended in FY 2009, which began on July 1, 2008;
and
WHEREAS,
PB Americas, Inc. desires to complete the project in FY 2009 and recognizes that
no charges can be made to the project; and
WHEREAS,
the upgraded SJTDM products can only be accepted by SJTPO after an independent
peer review by a recognized expert; and
WHEREAS,
funds for such review were included in the FY 2008 SJTPO UPWP, and these funds
likewise cannot be expended after June 30, 2008; and
WHEREAS,
PB Americas, Inc. desires to fund the independent peer review to enable SJTPO to
accept the SJTDM products; and
WHEREAS,
the
NOW
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Policy Board of the South Jersey
Transportation Planning Organization hereby requests that SJTA accept funds from
PB

IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the SJTPO Executive Director is hereby authorized to
negotiate minor changes to the scope of work within the overall intent of the
project; and
