SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION

RESOLUTION 0807-16:       Approving the FY 2009 Local CMAQ Project List  

WHEREAS, the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) designated under Federal Law for the southern region of New Jersey including Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem Counties; and  

WHEREAS, the SJTPO will formally adopt the FY 2009-2012 TIP on July 28, 2008; and  

WHEREAS, the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program (CMAQ) is administered by the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration; and  

WHEREAS, $1.9 M of CMAQ funding is allocated to SJTPO for FY 2009; and  

WHEREAS, the following projects will be funded under this ranking:  Bio-Diesel Vehicle Purchase, Atlantic County; Bio-Diesel Bus Purchase, Cape May County; Millville Shuttle, Cumberland County; A.C. Marina Casino Shuttle, SJTA; Rio Grande Avenue Signal Synchronization, Cape May County; and 34^th Street Signal Synchronization, Cape May County; and  

WHEREAS, the SJTPO Technical Advisory Committee reviewed the proposals for FY 2009 CMAQ funding as indicated on the attached chart.  

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Policy Board of the South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization hereby adopts the FY 2009 CMAQ Project List to receive FY 2009 CMAQ funding through the FY 2009-2012 Transportation Improvement Program.
